About this Presentation
Miscarriage is a common and highly distressing occurrence for a woman and her family. In this presentation, Prof Ledger discusses how evidence-based use of progestogens in threatened miscarriage and threatened premature labour can improve outcomes, how the treatment of all early pregnant women with vaginal progestogen is not indicated; patient selection and timely intervention are critical to success in this area, and discusses the required careful investigation in recurrent miscarriage and possibly referral for IVF with preimplantation genetic testing.
