About this Presentation
It’s tough being a teen, and it can be tough being their health practitioner too, let alone their parent.
Pelvic pain is common in teens, particularly in those assigned female at birth.
We know that between 1 in 4 and 1 in 5 of these students have period or pelvic pain. And we know that those affected have reduced personal, financial, sexual, wellbeing and educational outcomes when compared with their peers.
This presentation provides a straightforward and practical understanding of how all the seemingly unrelated symptoms fit together, and how to manage them. It looks at the issues from both sides of the consultation desk, and how to make your consultations more streamlined, more effective, and, less stressful.
