This talk will cover the latest diagnostic criteria for PCOS including specific considerations for adolescent girls. It also aims to increase awareness of the breadth of medical conditions associated with PCOS, including infertility, as well as longer-term risks such as diabetes. 

Prof Homer will elaborate on fertility treatment options ranging from simpler ovulation induction to more complex laparoscopic surgery and assisted reproductive technology including unique risks associated with IVF in PCOS patients and approaches for mitigating these. 

The presentation will outline the role of GPs in the management journey from diagnosis through to treatment and timely referral for specialist input.
