About this Presentation

Lack of sexual desire and sexual problems relating to ageing in women are common and multifactorial. Perimenopause may be associated with significant symptoms requiring treatment. Dyspareunia is under-identified and topical oestrogen for this and atrophic symptoms is under-utilised after menopause. The only evidence-based indication in Australia for testosterone therapy in women is Hypoactive Sexual Desire Dysfunction and not for any other symptom, clinical condition or disease prevention.
