About this Presentation
In this Healthed lecture, Dr Pamela Douglas discusses the various conditions on the spectrum of breast inflammation. There are common signs and symptoms between the various conditions and this lecture helps identify the different aetiologies of breast inflammation in order to better manage them in practice. Current evidence is presented regarding five practical key strategies that can help manage breast inflammation. Practical tips regarding the application of these principles are discussed, and practitioners are also advised about the lack of evidence supporting routine massage of inflamed breast lumps and routine use of antibiotics in mastitis.
