About this Presentation
Modern menopausal hormonal therapy used in women within 10 years of menopause is safe and effective and, in addition to symptom relief, has both bone and cardiovascular benefits. The small risks of breast cancer or uterine cancer may be reduced by using the lowest effective dose of body-identical oestrogen and progestogen. Transdermal oestrogen further decreases thromboembolic risks.
